This old road bears the weight of life.

Each crack a testament to a stalwart undertaking.

This old road bears all, every strife, every harmony.

A tired farmer’s trudge home to a hot meal,

a radiant beacon in a sea of uncertain harvests and arduous tasks.

A new family’s single car parade,

a welcoming path for new a beginning.

The brokenhearted couple,

a first love’s finale of opposite paths.

A matriarch’s final journey home,

a passing mourned,

but a life of dignity and joy

celebrated on the blacktop of memories.

This old road sees all.

This old road bears all.

This old road home.
